Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome back for what, I am sure, will be another great year! The summer has just flown by - how can it be that the start of school is only days away?

Mrs. Hajtovik and I worked very hard this summer to get things ready for September 2nd. Our custodial staff has also diligently worked over the past two months to make sure that the physical plant is in shape for our staff and students.

Once September starts, you will see some new faces in the halls: Mrs. Dina O'Hagan, who took over for Mrs. DeKleine last year in K5, will continue this year as her replacement; Ms. Melissa Ninni will be Mrs. DiRenzo's replacement until she returns from her maternity leave; and, Mrs. Rachelle Simons has been hired as our new speech language therapist. Soon, we hope to have a replacement for Ms. Liriano during her maternity leave in September and October and someone to fill Mrs. Koster's position in the main office.

The Netcong Elementary School provides students with varied academic and life skill learning opportunities. We want our children to become lifelong, successful citizens; by fostering their academic, social, and personal growth, we give them the tools to do this. I am fortunate to work with a dedicated staff that constantly works to foster our "Netcong Family." Our instructional program emphasizes the development of critical thinking skills and problem solving strategies, the ability to make informed decisions, a mastery of language skills, and the incorporation of 21st Century skills.

I encourage you to speak to your child's teachers as much as possible; when parents, teachers, and the administration work together, the children receive the greatest benefit! I look forward to another year of working with you and our children!

Sincerely,

Melissa N. Flach-Bammer
