The basketball program is made up of two different levels.  The first level is an intramural program for the students in the fifth and sixth grades.  The intramural program concentrates on the development of the beginning player.  Emphasis is placed on skill development and team concepts.  The students are divided into teams and games are played on the two basketball courts in the gymnasium.  The intramural program is held in the fall and spring, before and after the basketball season.

The second level is the girl's and boy's varsity and junior varsity basketball teams.   The teams are made up of students in the seventh and eighth grades.  Students in the sixth grade can be brought up to the J.V. or varsity program if there is space on the team and if their talent warrants the move.  The teams play schools from other communities and the season is concluded with the annual tournament held in February.   Ms. Kim Arbolino coaches the boy's team and Mr. Kevin Earl coaches the girl's team.
