NEW JERSEY PEER TO PEER

New Jersey Peer to Peer (NJPTP) trains young people to help their peers understand the dangers of substance use and make healthy decisions.  Throughout the year, NJPTP will conduct workshops dealing with difficult issues facing young people – resisting pressure to experiment with alcohol, tobacco, marijuana and other drugs; dealing with anger; handling stress and frustration; and communicating with peers and parents.  Our goal is to empower teens with knowledge and information so they will have the tools they need to make responsible decisions.

Students chosen as peer to peer leaders will be attending retreats, taking part in the statewide outreach programs in Princeton, and doing outreaches to the younger students in our school.  The group meets twice a week after school for forty-five minutes.
